Absolutely! It is highly recommended that all family members actively participate in the training process. This ensures that everyone learns and understands the correct way to train the dog, avoiding confusion and maintaining consistency in the training methods used.

All the training techniques taught are force-free, focusing on positive reinforcement and using methods such as luring and capturing. These methods are effective and gentle, promoting a positive learning experience for your dog.

Typically, it is ideal to have no more than two family members present during the training sessions. However, if you would like to involve more family members, please let me know when booking so that arrangements can be made accordingly.

By involving all family members, you create a unified approach to training and facilitate a stronger bond between your dog and the entire family. It also ensures that everyone is on the same page and able to reinforce the desired behaviors consistently.

Definitely not, all dogs can learn new tricks and skills! It may require more time, but they can definitely learn. At Paws & Praise, all dog breeds and ages are accepted, and all training sessions are tailored to the specific needs of the client and their dog.

• Mat if they use it at home

Training sessions can take place either within your home or outside. Therefore, it is important to dress appropriately for outdoor sessions, as training will still proceed regardless of the location.

In the event of dangerous or hazardous weather conditions, appointments may be rescheduled to ensure the safety of our staff, clients, and the animals involved.

Date changes and cancellations 

Due to the time-sensitive nature of multiple sessions per training pack, the following terms have been set to consider both my and my client's time:

• You will receive an email and text reminder 7 days and 72 hours before all training sessions.
• Please provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice for date changes by calling, texting, or emailing.
• Any date changes or cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointments will incur the full amount of the missed session without notice. No exceptions.
• All changes to appointments will be subject to the availability of Paws and Praise for rebooking.
• Please note that payments are non-refundable for changes of mind or insufficient notice for date changes.

We understand that circumstances may change, and we allow a total of 2 date changes for your training sessions.

No shows

Any appointment that results in a no show will be charged the full fee for that training session, and you will need to rebook another session for the missed one.

All no-show or rebooking fees are additional costs, regardless of the session or whether you have fully paid for all training sessions (pack).

All payments, whether for a single session or a training pack, must be fully paid 3 days prior to the start of the training. 

• Cash payments are accepted. 
• Bank transfers are accepted and preferred. 
• Bank transfers must be cleared before the training commences.
