Starts in the comfort of your home, where I can show you how to puppy-proof your house.

You will also learn about:

• Toilet training

Our puppy training package includes three one-hour sessions conducted at your home. During these sessions, we will guide you on everything you need to do to prepare your dog for the outside world. For advanced puppies, we offer a package of five one-hour training sessions.

It is recommended to schedule the sessions once a week or every two weeks, allowing you time to practice the skills on your own. However, it's important not to leave too much time between each session.

Teach your dog to be obedient and well-mannered in all situations, building a strong bond and boosting confidence for both you and your dog. With the use of positive reinforcement throughout training, which includes rewards and praise when your dog exhibits correct behavior, you will see instant results that are proven to be long-lasting.

Training plays a vital role in your dog's life as it provides mental stimulation, keeping them happy and preventing boredom. When combined with regular exercise like daily walks, training helps your dog become mentally and physically tired, leading to reduced destructive behavior and increased likelihood of resting during the day when everyone is out of the house.

Our training packages start from sets of 3, 5, and 8 private 1-1 in-home training sessions, each lasting 1 hour. Here are some of the areas we cover throughout the training programs:

All programs are tailored to you and your dog. During the initial consultation, I will gather information about you and your dog to design a training plan that sets everyone up for success. This means realistic training programs with easy and quick exercises. I also encourage involving the whole family to make training a fun experience for everyone.

These walks are great for people who are full- time workers to ensure your dog gets the attention and exercise they need while you’re at work.

Walk and Train Sessions include picking up your dog and take them for an engaging training walk, with sessions lasting around one hour.

Online training is an excellent option for individuals residing outside of Melbourne who wish to train with Paws & Praise, as we warmly welcome everyone. You have the flexibility to choose between virtual sessions or interactive sessions via Zoom, providing the convenience of training from the comfort of your own home.
